Growing up, I was not surrounded by art. Yet with this low exposure, I still found deep attraction towards the arts. Whether that was film, makeup, fashion, music, etc. As I have grown through my teenage years, I have become captivated by more disturbing (in other eyes), unusual, and surreal art. This consisting of punk/goth culture and becoming more knowledgable and aware of the society that surrounds me, becoming more fascinated by the horror genre, and overall feeling comforted by darker and morbid art.
In all honestly, I am not set in stone on what part of the industry I want to work in longterm. I find myself gravitating towards opposite professions of the industry. Feeling fulfilled while working in the shop, from making molds, to sculpting, to pre-painting, to flashing finished pieces; versus allowing my creativity to present itself in the form of editorial and Avant Garde makeup concepts.
Ideally I would prefer being based out of Los Angeles. Considering I am from the Los Angeles area (Santa Clarita), I am familiar with the industry around thee county. From shops, to studios, to unions.
